Common Excalibur crossbow support questions

Do you ship everywhere in Canada?

Yes, we ship across Canada. Delivery times depend on where you live, and you’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order leaves.

Do I need a licence to buy a crossbow?

In most of Canada you don’t need a firearms licence to buy a crossbow, but you do need the right hunting licence to hunt with one, and some provinces have extra rules. Always check your provincial regulations before the season. Also note that very short crossbows (under 500 mm) and ones designed to be fired with one hand are prohibited in Canada. The RCMP Canadian Firearms Program has the details. Every Excalibur we sell is a full-size hunting crossbow.

My crossbow isn’t grouping well. What should I check?

Start with the basics: make sure the scope mounts are tight, you’re using the bolt weight the bow was designed for, and the string is seated evenly on the rail. Nine times out of ten, one of those is the culprit. If it still won’t group, email us and we’ll walk you through it.

How often should I wax the string?

A light coat of string wax every 75 to 100 shots keeps the string from fraying. Wipe the rail too. A clean, lubricated rail and a waxed string last much longer.

What about warranty claims?

If something goes wrong with your bow, email us with your order number and a short description or photo. We’ll help you with the next steps.
