Setting up your new crossbow
When your bow arrives, read the manual first, then mount the scope and check that every screw is snug. Shoot your first groups at 20 yards from a steady rest and adjust the scope before moving back to 30 and 40 yards. Wax the string lightly every 75 to 100 shots and keep the rail clean. A few minutes of care like this keeps your Excalibur Mag MAX shooting tight groups for many seasons.
Questions about the Excalibur Mag MAX
Mag MAX or MAG Air?
The Mag MAX is faster (350 vs 305 FPS) and adds suppressors. The MAG Air is lighter and costs less.
Do I need a crank for the Mag MAX?
No. It comes with a rope cocking aid, which works well for most shooters. A crank is an optional upgrade.
