Why Excalibur
Excalibur has been building crossbows since 1983, and it shows. Their recurve bows have fewer moving parts than most compounds, so there's less to break, less to tune and nothing that needs a press to restring in the field.
Built for Canadian seasons. Cold mornings, wet bush and rough terrain.
Light and easy to handle. Compact frames that fit tight blinds and treestands.
Dependable year after year. Simple mechanics, consistent accuracy.
Good questions
Quick answers to what Canadian hunters ask us most.
Which Excalibur crossbow is best for beginners?
Should I buy a recurve or a compound crossbow?
Recurve crossbows have fewer parts, are easier to restring and handle cold weather well. Compound and reverse-draw models like the RevX and TwinStrike TAC2 are narrower and faster. Pick a recurve for simplicity and a compound for a compact, high-speed setup.
How much does an Excalibur crossbow cost in Canada?
Our Excalibur crossbows run from about $650 to $2,400 CAD, depending on the model and package.
Do you ship Excalibur crossbows across Canada?
Yes. We ship across Canada and send a tracking number once your order is on its way.
Do I need a licence to buy a crossbow in Canada?
In most provinces you don't need a firearms licence to buy a crossbow, but you do need a hunting licence to hunt with one. Rules differ by province, so check yours before the season. The RCMP Canadian Firearms Program explains which very short or one-handed crossbows are prohibited.
Tell us where and how you hunt. We'll recommend a model and answer every question before you buy.
